The survey found that 80 per cent of the Irish are satisfied with their Health compared to 70.3 per cent elsewhere in Europe.
However Irish trust in the State has fallen from 4.8 per cent in 2007 to a new figure of 3.9 per cent just below the EU average of four per cent.

Ireland had the fourth highest proportion of EU foreign citizens in the European Union last year.
New figures out today for 2011 show that 6.5 per of our population were from elsewhere in the european union of 27 States.
Luxembourg has the highest rate of EU residents at 37 per cent, Cyprus is next on 13 per cent followed by Belgium with 6.8 per cent.
The proportion of non EU-born citizens in the Republic last year was 2.7 per cent or 122,000.

The European Commission has just launched a new smartphone application to inform travellers of their legal rights in the event of their trip or holiday turning into a disaster.
For example, passengers whose flights are cancelled or denied boarding are entitled to compensation ranging from €125 to €600 under EU Law.

There's good news this weekend for owners of mobile phones.
New EU-wide roaming charges come into effect on Sunday which will see reductions in phone calls and data downloading costs.
International calls within the EU will fall to 29 cent per minute, a reduction of 6 cent.
Receiving a call will drop from 11 to 8 cent while texting will fall from 11 to 9 cent.
